Joseph Trombello, author of Miracle in the
Cornfield, has written an account of the United Airlines DC-10 crash landing in Sioux City, Iowa on July 19, 1989. Over one hundred passengers died and 184 survived. The author is not only a survivor; he is the co-founder of the Chicago support group for flight 232. Joseph Trombello is a Chicago native who now makes his home in Appleton.

Henry Golde, local resident and Holocaust survivor whose story appears in Remembering the Holocaust, part of the
Voices of Wisconsin Past series, will reflect on his experience during the Holocaust. This volume, edited by Michael E. Stevens, contains firsthand accounts of one of the darkest chapters in history.
Henry Golde is one of the fourteen persons who were interviewed for the book. |

Tony Rajer and Christine Style will present a slide show based on their book,
Public Sculpture in Wisconsin. Illustrated with over 700 photographs, this fascinating book covers our state's artistic
heritage. Outdoor sculpture found in all 72 counties is highlighted including monuments, memorials, statuary, and Native American effigy mounds. |

Paula Sergi, co-editor of The Boomer
Girls, a collection of poetry written by women baby boomers from across the country will appear with
Laurel Mills, one of many whose work is highlighted in the book, to read selections and discuss the book. Poets Pamela Gemin and Paula Sergi edited this collection of coming-of-age poems written by women born between 1945 and 1964. Experience the heartbreak, energy, and passion of these women as they grow from childhood, adolescence, to middle age.

Most of the authors will have copies of their books for sale and will sign copies as well.
