Ticket to Tomorrow
The Children's Summer Reading Program runs from June 5 through
August 5. Open to children ages birth to eleven, Ticket to
Tomorrow is an opportunity for young participants to keep
track of the minutes they are read to by parents and other
caregivers and school age children to play library games to
earn incentives for reading. Youth can register for the online
reading program at www.apl.org, read their
books, and send in book reports to Captain Appleton.
Ticket to Tomorrow kicks off June 5 with two performances
by songster Tom Pease at 1:30pm and 2:30pm. Please visit the

Word Up
The Teen Summer Reading Program begins June 21 and
runs through August 16. Open to teens in seventh through twelfth
grade, Word Up is an opportunity for teens to read books in
a variety of genres, write a brief review, and receive incentives.
After completing a review for each book read, the participants
can choose an incentive. After reading three books from four
different categories, the participants can enter their names
in drawings for prizes provided by the Appleton Library Foundation.
The grand prizes include a DVD player, a TV, and a portable
CD player
