The library has added over 25 new videos to their computer instruction collection thanks to a grant from the Appleton Public Library Foundation. These videos which are used for library staff training are available to library patrons and shelved with the video collection. They offer content rich training where ever and whenever it is needed. When it comes to self-paced computer training, these courses make it easier to learn and retain the maximum amount of information. The self-paced computer training is popular with both library staff and the public.

Among the training courses offered is Office 2000, a series offering the introductory training users need to quickly get started in its varied applications including Outlook. Viewers learn step by step how use Outlook for the first time as well as how to customize the program for personal use.

Other popular titles include Build Your Own Web Page which teaches techniques to build basic Web Pages without expensive software or equipment and Internet Searching Skills which demonstrates how to navigate the Web with ease.
