Friends of Books meets the second Wednesday at 2:00pm every other month beginning in February to discuss recent and classic fiction and non-fiction books. Books are available through the Reference and Information Desks (832-6173 and 832-6177) for reserve or check-out.

The book study group What a Novel Idea meets monthly except for December. The evening group meets the third Monday at 6:30pm and the afternoon group meets the third Tuesday at 2:00pm. Participants may choose whatever group fits into their schedules. Camille Banks is the discussion leader. The group discusses classic and award-winning novels. Books are available from Community Services (832-1695) for check-out.

Friends of Poetry is a poetry appreciation/discussion program that is presented quarterly from 6:00-8:00pm on selected Thursday evenings. The programs feature the video series Voices and Visions followed by a discussion of selected poems. Camille Banks and Cecilia Wiltzius are discussion leaders.
