Youth Worker Coalition

This year local agencies teamed up to start a coalition of individuals that serve youth in the Fox Valley area. The group meets the second Wednesday of each month at Harmony Café from 8-9:30 am to share information about upcoming events and services provided by the various government and private agencies that serve youth. Each month there is a different theme and time is allotted for open forum discussion of a specific issue or for a presentation on that month’s theme. Past meetings have included presentations on gangs, youth volunteering, self-harm behaviors, and the Fox Cities Rotary Multicultural Center. This is a great way for agencies to learn about all the amazing services offered to local youth and create relationships with other agencies with similar missions. A listserve has been started for those interested in discussing youth-related topics to keep in touch via e-mail.
