Fine Print -Summer 2004  Volume XV Number 2

Appearance by Author Michael Perry

Michael Perry, author of Population: 485: Meeting Your Neighbors One Siren at a Time, will be our special guest at Friends of Books on June 9 from 2:00 to 3:30pm in the library’s lower level meeting room.

Perry is a poet, registered nurse, a trained EMT and a volunteer firefighter. In Population: 485 he writes with humor about his experiences in New Auburn, Wisconsin, his hometown. He describes car crashes, heart attacks, and fires with care and poignancy.

Conkey’s Book Store will sell books for signing. Read Population: 485 ahead of time by reserving a library copy through the Community Services Office at 832-1695.

Perry’s appearance is free and open to the general public. The Appleton Library Foundation provided financial support for this event.
