Ring a Bell Give a Child a Book a Big Success

Over 1,100 new children’s books were donated to the Salvation Army during the 2004 Ring a Bell Give a Child a Book program sponsored by the Friends of the Appleton Library. Financial donations of $835 were contributed to pay for books that the library staff purchased at a discount at Conkey’s Book Store for the book drive.

The FOAL Children’s Committee worked on publicity. Members of the committee are Lou Hull, Chair; Jan Erdman, Pat Fitzgerald, and Jane O’Hagen.
