The Friends of Appleton Library held their annual Spring Meeting on Tuesday, April 12, 2005.The 2005-2006 slate of officers and committee chairpersons was announced.

Outgoing officers and chairpersons include:
Eloise Loebach, Jeanne DeGroot, Kelly Jansen, Channon Arteman, and Char Sigman.
Their contributions are greatly appreciated.

The Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to Donna Mancl. Donna has volunteered at Appleton Public Library since the early 1980s. She assisted at the old Information desk, Summer Library Program, Prime Time Children’s programming, used book sales, library mailings, and author visits. Donna is a very dependable and cheerful volunteer. Congratulations Donna!

The meeting concluded with a slide program presented by Char and Bob Sigman entitled
Beauty Beneath the Sea: Scuba Adventures Around the World. Char and Bob shared their knowledge of numerous colorful fish species and sponges they encountered on scuba diving adventures in the Galapagos Islands, the Bahamas, and elsewhere.
