2005 Summer Reading Program Presenters

June 9 Tom Pease 1:00 & 3:00 p.m.
This award winning presenter has showcased our summer reading program kickoff party for eight straight years. Come sing along with Tom.

June 28 Traveling Lantern actors will perform a literature based show called the Sword and the Stone in which young Arthur stumbles upon a sorcerer named Merlin. Little does he know he will grow up to become the admired King Arthur. The presentation will allow children to play an active role in a theater experience and excite their imagination.

July 5 - World Yo-Yo Champion Mark Hayward is an expert at making yo-yos do amazing feats. He's also excellent at delighting audiences with wacky juggling routines, assorted tricks and generating a great deal of laughter. Mark's show includes audience participation and is great for families and children of all ages. You will see him demonstrate famous yo-yo tricks like the Atom Smasher and Brain Twister, as well as old favorites like Walk the Dog and Rock the Baby.

July 12 Lil' Rev
Voted the best folk singer in Wisconsin and a Parent’s Choice Award winner. Lil' Rev’s fast paced show has Stephen Foster songs, Delta holler blues, classical songs and original music.

July 19 Imagireadination Fantabookasy
Audiences of all ages will be highly entertained while watching Wise Guy and His Gal explore the world of reading through singing, dancing, puppets, audience participation, and lots of comedy. Kids will see how books and their imaginations can enable them to create a world of learning, excitement and fun. Target age range is 4-10 years, but the show is designed to entertain everyone, even adults.

All of the programs are funded by the Appleton Library Foundation FOAL Endowment and the Outagamie Waupaca Library System.
