Fine Print - Winter 2005  Volume XVI Number 4

It’s a Wonderful Teen Life!

Teen Concerts:
This winter the Java Jive Concert Series will be taking a short hiatus during the months of December and January. Instead we are happy to have the West High School Concerti Singers performing a madrigal concert on the evening of December 13th. These talented teens will be performing a holiday concert throughout the Library. The regular Java Jive Concerts will return in February.

Speaking of the Java Jive Concerts…Ever wonder how your teen band, duo, or solo musical artist can “get a gig” at the Library? APL is looking to expand our list of performers this winter. Java Jive Concerts are one Wednesday evening a month during school months and in the afternoons during the summer. Performers need to have about one hour worth of material, either original songs or covers, and their own equipment (instruments, amps, microphones etc.). Interested teens should contact Paula Wright for more details at 832-6353.

Anime Evenings for Teens!
Can’t get enough of Anime? This winter the Anime Evenings for Teens Film Series will be showing Spiral: What are the Blade Children, Spiral: Disarming Fate, and The Galaxy Railways: Ahead Full! Shows start at 6:30p.m. in the Lower Level Meeting Rooms. Snacks will be provided. All titles shown are PG, PG-13 or equivalent.

Teen Library Council
TLC’s next meeting will be November 29th at 7:00p.m. We will be talking about the TeenLinks Area in the Library and brainstorming ideas on how to brighten up the space! If you’re a teen between grades 7-12 and are interested in joining TLC please contact Paula Wright at teen@apl.org or 832-6353 or come visit us on November 29th!

Teen Programming is made possible thanks to the Appleton Library Foundation and the Friends of Appleton Library. If you have any programming ideas to share or are looking for more information on all our Teen Programs check out our web page at http://teen.apl.org/ or contact Paula.
