WISCAT

WISCAT is the statewide union library catalog for Wisconsin. WISCAT contains cataloging information on nearly 6 million titles and lists over 28 million holdings from 1,137 contributing Wisconsin libraries. The libraries listed in WISCAT are willing to loan many of their books and media through established statewide interlibrary loan channels.

Reference and Loan Video Catalog

BadgerLink contains a searchable version of the Wisconsin Reference and Loan Library’s Videocassette Catalog. The video collection includes 7,000 titles which are available via interlibrary loan. This is an unannotated catalog without subject entries, although many of the titles are descriptive and keyword searching may locate videocassettes on a particular topic.

The videocassette collection contains titles in most major subject areas, from arts and humanities to science and social studies. Some subjects have received special emphasis. These include Native American studies, industrial safety, library science, education, literacy, business and management, Wisconsin studies, and how-to information of all kinds. In addition, theReference and Loan Library has included titles on specific topics for which videos are uncommon or difficult to acquire and therefore often not available from other library resource providers.
