The Appleton Library Foundation is selling commemorative bricks to
be installed this spring in Library Plaza. The bricks cost $35.00 each and can
be engraved with two lines of 14 letters each. Over 300 bricks have already
been laid in the corner of Library Plaza bordering Washington and Appleton
Streets. A plaque engraved with the names of the individuals and businesses
that donated funds to tear down the old City Hall building, pave the parking
lot, and landscape the area is also located in that corner of the plaza. Brick
order forms can be obtained through Library Administration and by calling
832-6170.
Library Plaza will be dedicated at 1:00pm on Sunday, April 18. The Mayor, Aldermen, the Library, FOAL, and Foundation Boards, as well as the City Hall donors and the general public, will be invited to attend the dedication.
