Library hires a new Circulation Supervisor

Vicki Lenz has been hired as the new Supervisor of the Library Circulation Section.  Vicki was most recently the director of the Kiel Public Libray in

Keil, Wisconsin.  Prior to that, she worked here in our building for Outagamie Waupaca Library System (OWLS) as their Automation Librarian.  Her

duties at OWLS included development, maintenance and troubleshooting of the OWLSnet automation system, which is the computer system we use to check out and check in materials, catalog library materials, and provide access to the collections through the CL-Cat terminals.  This experience was very helpful in preparing Vicki for her work in our Circulation Section.

Vicki and her husband Randal Resch have two daughters, Kristl (17) and Klaire (12), and a son, Rick (9).  Her reading interests are fiction,

cookbooks, poetry, and anthropology.  Her favorite author is Anne Tyler, and her favorite poet is Seamus Heaney.  She enjoys the music of the

Waukesha rock band the BoDeans, and likes to cook new things, including most recently exploring Indian cookery.  She also likes to garden, listen

to public radio, and walk the dogs.

Vicki began her new job on January 4, 1999, and has already become a valued member of the library management team.  She and her staff have begun an ambitious inventory project of library collections, and they will be working together to find ways to continuously improve services to our

patrons at the Circulation desk. Welcome, Vicki!
