Novelist

Trying to decide what book to read next? Well, why not let NoveList help you. What isNoveList? NoveList is a new electronic readers' advisory tool available at the AppletonPublic Library. With NoveList, readers are able to find new books similar to those theyhave read and enjoyed or assemble a personalized list of books with topics that they areinterested in reading.

To get started, the reader enters a title, author, subject or genre and NoveList willcollect a list of books that match the particular criteria from its database. Choosing"Describe a Plot" allows you to find books by plot, characters or subjects."Explore Fiction Types" lets you create a personally designed list based on yourfiction criteria. The NoveList database has access to over 52,000 adult fiction titles andcontains over 17,000 subject headings.

NoveList also currently has access to 6,000 full-text book reviews from the AmericanLibrary Association's journal Booklist. With NoveList you can also access series titlesand find lists of award-winning fiction titles, including lists of the Nobel Prize and theNational Book Award winners.
