With a
grant from the Appleton Library Foundation, the library has hired a part-time
Young Adult Library Assistant, Dan Weiner. Dan, a graduate of the University of
Wisconsin-Stevens Point, also works as a substitute teacher in the area.

host a kick-off event with a Star Wars theme that is free and open to the
public, particularly middle and high school-age young adults. The party will
feature science fiction character costume and trivia contests with prizes for
the winners. The video "The Making
of Star Wars" will be shown. Refreshments will be served.
