Held in APL's Lower Level Meeting Room.
 The Friends of Appleton Library (FOAL) are strong advocates of our library. The Friends support the library in developing its facilities and services for the community. Many of the Friends also serve as volunteers at the library. The Friends help fund the FOAL/Frank P. Young Scholarship assisting students with professional library education. The Friends, along with the Appleton Library Foundation, maintain an endowment fund through the Community Foundation.
The used book sales held every November and May by the Friends are popular events. The Give a Child a Book drive held every year just before the holidays gathers thousands of books which are offered to low-income families in the Fox Valley through several agencies. Just by joining the FOAL group, you are showing support for the library, a wonderful asset to our community.
Annual dues to join the Friends are tax deductible

- Family: $25
- Supporting: $35
- Life membership: $100 (one-time payment)
