An original oil painting by local artist, Lynn Mann, depicting 7 notable people with strong ties to Appleton. The painting hangs above the landing of the stairway leading to the lower level in the Library. Also included is the text of the original play written for its dedication by Ken Anderson. These were created as part of Wisconsin's sesquicentennial celebration in 1998. Click here to read the play (text used with the permission of the playwright).
