Appleton
History

Introduction

These web pages were prepared by the staff of the Appleton Public Library, based on a pamphlet created by Library staff in 1991 entitled "A History of the Founding of Appleton." No attempt was made to furnish a comprehensive history of the City of Appleton. Instead, this work was meant to provide a summary of the best currently available information, and to highlight the resources maintained at the Library.
