Kids Reading to Canines - a program of Fox Valley Humane Association in partnership with APL that offers the opportunity for children in grades 1 - 4 to read to therapy dogs. These trained and certified therapy dogs have been taught to work with children, are good listeners, and offer readers of all abilities a chance to practice their reading skills. This program is located in the Children's area and time is split into 15 minute sessions. Registration is required! Sat, Nov 8, 10 - 11:30 am

Illustrator Visit - Renee Graef, illustrator of the American Girl Kirsten series and the Little House picture books series, will speak to children and adults about illustrating books. Mon, Nov 9, 6:30 – 7:15 pm

Creative Journey - Swap Meet: bring a few treasures that need new homes, and take home something special in their place. Creative Journey is a program dedicated to exploring and nurturing our inner creativity. New members are always warmly welcomed. Come join the Journey! Tue, Nov 10, 10 am – noon

Library Use Class and Tour - attend this 1-hour session to learn to use the online catalog effectively, understand the services available, and discover electronic resources. Meet in Study Room A, second floor. Tue, Nov 10, 2 – 3 pm

Antiques Reference - a comprehensive database of antiques, collectibles and historic Americana sold at auction throughout the United States.

Please take a look at the latest addition to InfoSoup, the InfoSoup Memory Project. Appleton Public Library submitted the first two works to be included, Appleton, Wis., Illustrated and Outagamie Pioneers. The project is just getting started and we are excited by the possibilities for making available to you some of the unique local history materials in OWLS libraries.
