netLibrary
is a highly accessible virtual library on the Web that is now available
from computers at the Appleton Public Library or from your home
computer. The netLibrary eBooks are accessible 24 hours a day, seven
days a week. It operates like a physical library with a catalog
that can be searched and browsed by author, title or subject.
To check out books, each user signs up for an account on
first visiting the netLibrary
page. To sign up, click on create account on the top of the
netLibrary home page. Using that account an eBook can be checked
out for 24 hours. At the end of 24 hours, the eBook is automatically
returned to the collection. Users may also choose to browse a book
for 15 minutes to find a specific piece of information without checking
it out.
Please Note: users must now
login with a valid library card number.
