    Children can practice their reading skills in a relaxed environment while reading to a registered therapy dog. All dogs are registered with Compassionate Canines. There are four time slots available for four readers at one time; 10:00 - 10:15, 10:20 - 10:35, 10:50 - 11:05, and 11:10 - 11:25 am. Pooches & Pages is for children in grades 1 through 4.

  2. Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead

    Explore the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics through hands on activities and experiments. Each program will excite the imagination and curiosity of future scientists, artists and mathematicians. While geared toward preschoolers, siblings are always welcome to attend.

    Exhibits are located on the lower level. Display cases are located in the hall across from the elevator, in front of the Information desk, and on the second floor.

  5. Sensory Storytime

    When: 
    First Thursday of the month 6:00-7:00 PM October 2, November 6, December 4
    Where: 
    Children's Program Room A/B

    Developmentally designed for 4-8 year olds, Sensory Storytime is an interactive program that engages children through movement, music, stories and sensory play. It can be enjoyed by all children, but is ideal for those who have a hard time in large groups, are on the autism spectrum or have sensory integration challenges. Registration is appreciated, but not required.

  6. Parks and Recreation Classes @ APL

    Parks and Rec classes at the library include Spanish and drop-in exercise programs.
