the Library
The Appleton Public Library is a welcoming place where the
entire community comes together to celebrate culture and knowledge
and to find others with whom to share their interests and enjoy
unique learning experiences.
Children and students
Children from newborns onward and their parents are welcome.
The Children's staff offers storytimes for all ages; preschool and
school groups often come for group tours and special programs.
Discussion groups
Adults who love to read and share what they have learned are
invited to participate in book discussion groups. Call the Reference Desk at 832-6173 for details.
Instruction classes
Internet instruction and library skills classes are offered for
users of all ages and abilities. Call Reference and Information

Meeting room and display cases for the public
The library has meeting rooms and display cases for use by community
organizations at no charge. Call the Library Secretary at 832-6170

Volunteering The library welcomes volunteer help! We have a wide variety of opportunities available. Many offer flexible hours and tasks to suit specific interests. Volunteers may help with children’s programs, take materials to patrons unable to get to the library, harvest information from obituaries for the local history project and get books and media back on the shelves.
