Computer Classes @ APL: Request One-on-One Computer Help

You can request One-On-One computer or eReader help from an APL Librarian. We offer help with using Microsoft Office software and various internet services, including email, as well as using your eReader. We will not be able to accommodate all requests for this service depending on subject matter and scheduling.

  • We cannot help troubleshoot or fix hardware issues, including such things as improving the speed of your laptop.
  • We cannot teach typing; however, the Mavis Beacon typing program is available for you to use at the Library.
    1. If someone can help you in the area you indicated, you will be contacted by a Librarian to schedule an appointment.
    2. Your 45-minute One-On-One session will be located on the Library’s Upper Level in Study Room A.
    3. When submitting a request (below), remember to be as specific as possible describing in what area you need help; this allows staff to best prepare for your session.
    4. If you do not have your own laptop to bring to the session, you can request to use the Library laptop.
