About the Facilitator
Writing Matters is facilitated by Amy, APL's Library Programming Assistant.
Amy has a B.A. in Creative Writing from Loyola University in New Orleans and an M.A. in English from Northern Illinois University. She has taught writing and literature at both the high school and college levels as well as tutored students in writing for the SAT, ACT, and college applications. In addition, Amy has worked in publishing as an Acquisitions Editor and served two years as the Assistant Director of Sigma Tau Delta, The International English Honor Society.
Amy believes in allowing writers to experiment in a constructive yet non-judgmental atmosphere. Writers of all backgrounds are welcomed.
Discuss books about the writing craft, participate in writing exercises, listen to good writing, and learn about different genres and writing techniques. Meets Quarterly in the Lower Level Meeting Room; time varies depending on presenter.
