How to Search:

  • Type a word in the search box and press enter or click on search.
  • When searching for more than one word, separate words with a space -- do not use punctuation. (e.g. parks pool ) .
  • Choosing Find All of the words will narrow the search -- this is the same as searching for Parks and Pool.
  • Choosing Find Any of the words will return more records -- this is the same as searching for Parks or Pool
  • Keep it Simple! -- newspaper headlines can be very brief!
  • When searching for a person, try last name only when possible.
  • Capital letters are not needed.
  • Word order does not matter.
  • Avoid common words like a, the, of etc.
  • Searching within specific dates is optional. All dates will be searched if this field is left blank.

 About the Search Results:

  • Searches will return partial matches. A search for park will also retrieve parks,
    parking, parked etc.
  • Records are ordered alphabetically by Subject then by Date within each subject. Because of this the most recent article may not always be listed first. Choose Date from the Sort By drop down menu to have records arranged strictly by date.
  • Some articles are listed under more than one subject so you may notice duplicate records.
