Career Info
O*NET - this database of info feeds into CareerOneStop's portal; includes details on skills, knowledge, & abilities required for certain jobs, as well as good words to use in resumes for certain positions
O*Net Career Exploration tools - includes various free tests to identify your abilities and interests as well as pinpointing what is important to you in a job, thereby helping you identify occupations that you may find satisfying based on the similarity between your work values (such as achievement, autonomy, and conditions of work) and the characteristics of the occupations. Most tests are available in printable, paper-form as well as online. Tests are followed up with Score Reports (such as for the Interest Profiler Score Report, which gives you ideas and options for jobs in your area of interest based on level of preparation or education needed).
