Dawson distributed revised copies of the July financial report that reflected a correction in the Personnel Account. Parker moved approval of the July 2000 bill registers, Dunlap seconded and the motion passed.
Meeting Times - By consensus, the Board agreed that meeting at noon on the second Tuesday of the month was agreeable to all present. It was suggested that the Board receive e-mail reminders the day before the meeting.
Nominating Committee - The Committee is comprised of Ducklow (Chair), Bloedow, and Bergen. The Committee will meet prior to the September Board Meeting.
Fifteen proposals were sent to various coffee vendors throughout the Appleton area; and one positive response was received from Foxley's, a downtown business. Dawson outlined the contract that is being negotiated with Foxley's, and asked the Board for a resolution authorizing the signing of the contract. Lee made the motion to approve the contract pending approval by Foxley’s, the City Attorney and Library administration. Dunlap seconded and the motion passed.
The Children's summer programs are coming to an end. Program attendance has been down but the number of events had been increased. The Young Adult program, comprised of students in grades 7, 8, 9, 10, had over 200 enrolled. The art prints have been removed and the young adult area will be established in September and October.
No action has taken place on the 2001 budget, however a correction was made to the total of the original budget request in the amount of $400. Dawson, Muench and Kelly will discuss the budget request with the Mayor on August 14th.
This is a resource web site with contributions to the site from OWLS and APL. It will be the cover story in the periodical "Other Libraries" in September and presented at the WLA Conference in October.

The meeting adjourned at 12:37 PM.
